Located on 44th Street off Broadway, Poisson restaurant was my first mural project where I was given complete autonomy. Painted between 1995 & 1996, this restaurant included a fifty by eighteen foot mural, a second fourteen by eight foot mural and an additional 2,000 square feet of hand painted surfaces including the ceiling. For this project my clients requested ‘it be colorful’ and left the rest to me. Under the watchful eye of 30,000 people a day coming through Times Square in Manhattan, this project set the stage for many future restaurants in New York City.
