All of my paintings in the past decade have been by commission. When asked what it is I do, it is better to answer what it is I have done, or what I am doing. Having recently completed two multi-year projects, I am beginning a new series of paintings in my Warsaw studio. This series will be the first non-commissioned pieces I have had the opportunity to work on in well over fifteen years, and I am relishing the moment. The series is currently slated for exhibition in the late summer/early fall 2010.

This spring I completed a large mural for the Brookwood School and had the chance to present the work to the student body class by class. Giving lectures to each different grade level opened the work up to me in wonderful ways. This fall I put the finishing touches on a large screen rendered in egg tempera which I have been working on for two years (visit Screens to see this piece).

I work only in water based media. Egg tempera is one of the few archival media known to man and lasts thousands of years. Acrylic, my other mainstay hasn’t been around long enough to prove itself, but promises to have longevity that will certainly surpass oil paints and perhaps rival egg tempera.

I have painted numerous restaurants in New York City. Please visit the Salmon River, Café Un Deux Trois & BXL Café galleries to view what I have done in these fine establishments. I have
worked in illustration, as well as logo design, an example of which is the fish pictured here. My images tend towards the maniacally detailed yet always have some indication of the surreal, such as the image to the right.

I appreciate a challenge in my commissions, and always bring unexpected facets to my projects. Each project is priced according to the requirements of the job. Please contact me with questions regarding commissions and their intricacies.
