Liquid Silver Prints are photographs printed using liquid photographic emulsion. The liquid is exposed & treated with the same methods as traditional black & white photographs. As the emulsion is actually black & clear as opposed to black & white it allows for the ground colors of the print surface to show through. I take full advantage of this attribute with my works on wood as in the image depicted here. Due to the unpredictable nature of the emulsion and the style in which it is applied, each image is one of a kind and can not be reproduced in the exact same way twice, unlike a traditional photograph. The images are unique in this way. This style adorns the walls of private collector’s homes, theaters, offices, galleries and restaurants in New York City, New England and across America.
